If you are one of those catamaran lovers who have been following the incredible history of the Lagoon for more than 30 years, the name of this model will surely evoke pleasant memories: Lagoon 55 is actually the first Lagoon launched in the distant 1987. Created by marine architects Mark Van Petegem and Vincent Lorio-Prevo (VPLP design), Lagoon left its mark and gradually became the undisputed leader in the leisure catamaran market. 34 years later, more than 6,000 Lagoon catamarans, sail the seas around the world.

It is difficult to make a comparison between the old and the new Lagoon 55. However, innovations interfere, and with them comes the need to change the hulls and the external layout of the catamaran. However, the shipyard no doubt states that Lagoon has remained true to its roots and values: to offer a safe and comfortable sailing yacht. A yacht in which life is good.

When you first see the new Lagoon 55, you will immediately notice the completely redesigned rear. It has been designed to offer optimal circulation on board, creating a huge terrace facing the sea. The cockpit is fully open, providing panoramic and uninterrupted sea views.

Emphasis is also placed on light and ventilation. The catamaran features ceiling windows that complement the large, vertical windows, creating a sense of spaciousness so important to Massimo Gino, the interior designer (Nauta Design). He himself shares about his creation: “We open the interior to an abundance of natural light, which allows a better connection with nature.”

The new Lagoon 55 is available in versions with 4, 5 or 6 cabins, with large private bathrooms, regardless of the configuration chosen, the Lagoon 55 offers impressive volumes, bringing real added value compared to the front model, the Lagoon 52. Lagoon 55 has a modern, sleek design while retaining the brand's DNA.
