The Association of the Bulgarian Yacht Industry (ABIA) was established and accepted as a member of the European Boating Industry (EBI) at the boot exhibition in Düsseldorf

Elica Yard, together with LZ Yachting 1991, Crooze Yachts Bulgaria and Dream Sea Yachting, established the Association of the Bulgarian Yacht Industry (ABIA), which was accepted as the 30th member of the European Boating Industry (EBI).

EBI members met in attendance for its first General Meeting of 2025 during the boot Düsseldorf exhibition. The newly established Association of the Bulgarian Yacht Industry was represented by its president, Kaloyan Radulov, who is also co-founder and manager of Elika Yard.

Robert Marx, President of the European Boating Industry, said:

The establishment of ABIA is a natural result of the efforts of several Bulgarian companies. In recent years, they have jointly launched their own brands of luxury yachts on the international market. Manufacturers, brokers, charter companies and equipment importers are joining forces to strengthen the yacht industry in Bulgaria.

The main goal of the association is to establish Bulgaria as a new center for high-quality yachting in Europe. Working together with local authorities and entrepreneurs, the aim is to expand the presence of Bulgarian yachts worldwide. This industry is expected to bring significant benefits to the Bulgarian and Balkan economies in the future.

Developing a strong chain of suppliers, subcontractors and importers is key. This will significantly increase the competitiveness of yachts manufactured in Bulgaria. The Association also aims to promote yacht tourism and make sailing a preferred leisure time for Bulgarians.

Dimitar Panayotov, CEO of LZ Yachting 1991 — a leading name in the luxury yacht segment in Bulgaria and pioneers in the field of sustainable luxury, added:

Gabriela D. Petrova, co-founder and COO of Crooze Yachts Bulgaria, a company that manufactures electric luxury yachts, said:

Ivelina Topalova, CEO of Dream Sea Yachting, a marine services company specializing in yacht sales, charters, purchasing and management, said:

From the magazineYachts Bulgaria, we are proud to be able to trace the creation and development of the association. Expect more news on the subject.
